When creating a management plan we usually take into consideration what type of management the tree needs. We take into account the goal / problem the client may have with their tree and implement the correct management technique listed to best suit the scenario.

We make sure every cut we make has a purpose in reaching the final goal as we dont see the point in cutting trees for no reason.

Crown Lifting

This type of management also known as crown rasing which involves the removal of the lower branches from the trees crown therfore "lifting / raising" the crown.

The Aim: Management technique is to creates additional clearance underneath the tree to allow passage or create access

Weight Reduction

Overtime as a tree grows some branches can become over extended with weight from the trees foilage, which can potentially lead to the branch  failing due to the additional stress of the weight.

The Aim: Weight reduction management aims to reduce the amount of foilage on selected branches to prevent future failures

Thinning / Crown Cleaning

The most common management technique we use ,selectively removing small to mediuem size branches as well as dead and dying limbs.

The Aim: The end goal is to increase light penetration throughout the crown as well as increase air circulation to ruduce fungal diseases and pest infestations by allowing the tree to dry more quickly after rain

Clearance Pruning

Similar to crown lifting which invloves the removal of the lower branches, clearnace pruning involves the removal of any nessessary branches which may have contact with buildings, roads, utilities etc

Aim: The main fucus is to create reasonable amount of clearance between existing infastructure and the tree itself by removal selected branches.

Reduction: Tree reduction is a specialized pruning technique used to decrease the overall size of a tree while maintaining its natural shape and structural integrity.

The Aim: The aim of tree reduction is to reduce the height or spread of the tree by selectively removing branches and limbs. This helps to minimize the risk of branch failure, improve light penetration and air circulation, and manage the tree's size in relation to its surroundings.

Deadwood Removal: Dead wood removal is a tree maintenance process that involves the systematic cutting and elimination of dead, dying, or diseased branches from a tree.

The Aim: By removing dead branches it increases general safety of the understory of the tree and the general appeal of the tree
